Welcome to The Melody House .
We are pleased to welcome you and look forward to a long fun-filled relationship. Lessons include traditional piano lessons
as well as interactive lessons using a midi and computer. Songwriting will be used to learn theory and explore
creativity.
Ms. Carroll McCarthy is the director and piano teacher for The Melody House .
She has been teaching for 39 years and has run studios in Washington DC, Virginia Beach, New York and Texas.

She has studied performance, theory and pedagogy
for many years and continues to invigorate and keep her skills fresh and up to date. Schools of study include the
Alexandria School of Music, The Princeton School of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Queen's College, UTA, Berklee College of
Music, GMU and privately with Tamara Dmitrieff. Additionally she has performed in London, Texas,
and Washington. Other studies include psychology and dance at UTA, Old Dominion, GMU, and VA Tech.
